Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the hire of skip bins from D&C Skip Bins (ABN 72 832 253 138, "we", "us", "our"). By booking a skip bin, you ("the Customer") agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Bookings

- Bookings can be made by phone, text, email, or via our website.
- Bookings are confirmed once we've verified bin size, waste type, delivery address, and access requirements.
- Prices quoted are fixed for the agreed waste type and bin size at time of booking, subject to Section 4 (Permitted Waste).

2. Delivery and Pickup

- We aim to deliver by the next business day where availability allows; specific timeslots are not guaranteed unless separately agreed.
- The Customer must ensure clear, safe, and legal access for delivery and collection (including any council permits required for footpath or road placement).
- The Customer is responsible for any fines or penalties arising from illegal or unpermitted bin placement.
- Bins remain the property of D&C Skip Bins at all times.

3. Hire Period

- Standard hire period is [insert number] days from delivery unless otherwise agreed.
- Extended hire or delayed pickup requests must be made in advance and may incur additional charges.
- Swap-overs (exchanging a full bin for an empty one) can be booked as needed, particularly for Builder Account customers.

4. Permitted Waste

- Bins must only be filled with the waste type agreed at booking (Household, Construction/Mixed Heavy, Masonry, or Timber & Wood).
- Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: asbestos, liquids, chemicals, batteries, gas bottles, tyres, medical or hazardous waste, food waste, and any items prohibited under EPA regulations.
- Bins must not be filled above the fill line or overloaded beyond safe transport limits — "no weight limits" refers to our fixed pricing model, not an invitation to exceed safe or legal load limits.
- We reserve the right to refuse collection, charge additional fees, or apply contamination surcharges if a bin contains prohibited or misrepresented waste.

5. Pricing and Payment

- Prices are as quoted at time of booking and include delivery, pickup, and disposal of permitted waste up to the agreed bin size.
- Additional charges may apply for: extended hire, prohibited waste, overfilling, missed access, or bin relocation.
- Builder Account customers are invoiced according to their account terms; all other customers pay at or before delivery unless otherwise agreed.

6. Cancellations

- Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with reasonable notice (at least [insert timeframe]) before the scheduled delivery.
- Late cancellations or failed deliveries due to inaccessible sites may incur a service fee.

7. Liability

- The Customer is responsible for the safe and legal use of the bin, including supervision of loading and placement.
- To the extent permitted by law, D&C Skip Bins is not liable for damage to property caused by the Customer's placement or loading of the bin, except where caused by our negligence.
- Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. EPA Compliance

We operate under an EPA licence and dispose of and sort waste in accordance with South Australian environmental regulations at our Lonsdale depot.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
